A true story of injustice is tragic but the persistence of the victim gives a lesson that makes so many wonder why one suffers and still strives to help others, in this case, Suu Kyi struggles for her own countrymen.
Myanmar has suffered a great deal at the hands of men who take pleasure from the ill treatment and bad fortune of others. Bad fortune because such a group as the military junta, who kill and pillage, came their way.
A great story is one that brings out the nobility of character of the main figure, and so with the others who suffered with her. The dead, remind of wonderful things that could have been. The imprisoned, long suffered injustice that continually saddens. The lesson learned is one’s freedom is so precious that one should safeguard that freedom.
How lucky is it that Aung San Suu Kyi still remains the opposition leader continuing her fight for freedom and asking for justice for her oppressed people.
All countries have great stories of their heroes who gave their lives that the freedom of their country remain intact.
As for people who take away that freedom, we only pray that their number will decrease.
